A extended voyage around the Land Down Under was terminated in the wake of the death of an older female passenger who was stranded by the vessel on a distant coastal location.

The elderly woman had been trekking on the tropical location with other travelers from the Coral Adventurer, but separated from the group for a break. The vessel left without her and went back later that day after the personnel realised the lady was not present.

An extensive rescue mission found her body the subsequent day.

Authorities are investigating the tragedy, in coordination with investigators and the state coroner.

The CEO of the shipping company announced that passengers and crew on the ship were informed that the rest of the voyage had been called off due to the "tragic passing and prior technical problems".

Via official communication, he mentioned that travelers would be given a total repayment, and said the organization was working "to arrange the travel back of the passengers via specially arranged planes".

Authorities also released an updated announcement, and said they had "provided a notice to the Captain" preventing any additional guests from getting on the vessel.

The official said that they would visit the vessel in Cairns upon its coming back.

The liner initially left the coastal city on October 24th, and was merely two days into the voyage at the point of the 80-year-old's passing. The remote island was the first stop on the voyage.

Passengers on the vessel - who usually pay tens of thousands of dollars to participate in the cruise - were ferried there for a day trip with the choice of walking or snorkeling.

The daughter of the deceased woman said that her loved ones was "surprised and distressed that the ship left the location after an planned tour without my parent".

Via her announcement, she characterized her parent as an "vigorous elderly person" who was a participant of a bushwalking group.

"Based on limited facts we have been informed, it seems that there was a failure of attention and ordinary reasoning," she mentioned.

She continued that she wished the examination would be able to identify what "the company should have done that might have saved Mother's existence".

"According to reports from the authorities that it was a very hot afternoon, and mum became unwell on the hill climb," she stated.
